sair goetz
goetz uses video, instructional texts and performative gestures to delve into a wide spectrum of issues including sexuality, violation, safety, climate change and gender constructs. In webbing these topics together goetz will cover the gallery windows with text and the walls with a mixture of video and instructional stills and prints, a means to and end that ultimately highlights the way words build our reality.
goetz received their Master of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH) where they are currently a lecturer. Prior to that, goetz received a Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Media Studies, from Duke University (Durham, NC). goetz has exhibited at Urban Arts Space (Columbus, OH), Mirage Gallery (Columbus, OH) and Bancroft Gallery (Boston, MA), and has screened work at the event Deep Trash: Royal Trash, organized by Cuntemporary (London, UK).
