Andrew Wood exhibits getting_on-off.expressway, a combination of sculpture, performance and drawing made from a medley of archetypal characters, autobiography, and veiled references, all of which work in tandem to flesh out a narrative. Wood’s work functions as both passive installation and something that is activated through performance, where documentation and cross-discipline collaging offers the potential for past work to resurface in new projects.
Wood received his MFA from The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH). Prior to that, he received his BA in Fine Art from the University of Sunderland (Sunderland, U.K.). Wood has exhibited work at Urban Arts Space, Hopkins Hall Gallery and Millworks Artist Studio (Columbus, OH). He has also screened videos at The Mini Micro Cinema, (Cincinnati, OH), Skylab Gallery and Milo Arts, (Columbus, OH). Wood lives and works in Columbus, OH.
