ROY critiques.png

Roy Critiques happens on the 3rd Thursday of the odd month from 7:00-9:00pm.

Miss Art School? Miss talking thru the process with other artists? We’ve got the solution to your problems! Roy Critiques. Take full advantage of the opportunity to receive feedback on your work or support others in the grueling process that is the artistic practice.

Critiques can be scary, but they are one of the most important parts of an artist’s process. Crits offer the opportunity to pause, focus (or refocus) and move onto the next step in the making process. These sessions provide you with feedback to assess your work objectively and to decide if it’s headed in the right direction for you. New and fresh perspectives of your work are an invaluable part of determining what is and what isn’t working in your piece.

During this time together, we will have one featured artist (invited from the current ROY Presents season) who will have a 45-minute critique on a body of work with four 15-minute quick crit slots to immediately follow. Quick crits are open to anyone and provide a welcoming introduction to the critique process.

These events are BYOB with a suggested $5-$10 donation to support ROY and will be facilitated by Janelle Bonfour-Mikes. Learn more about Janelle here.
